1 YEAR OF FACES

I love drawing faces - always have. I like studying a wide variety of people yet seeing the overall patterns. It’s the small changes in proportion, the inconsistencies in symmetry; and that’s all before you add hair style and clothing. Doing quick, gestural drawings then injecting them with emotion and a personality is one of my favorite pastimes. I hope to do more this year whether that’s in a sketchbook or digitally and not worry so much about the style but capturing that emotion.
